John Jairo Pelaez has been our trainer for 20 years. He brought his family from Pereira, Colombia to the United States in the year 2000, and his father and grandfather were also  Paso Fino trainers. He is a gentle trainer and respects the sensitivity of this breed. He knows these horses are very smart and remember how they are treated. He does not use harsh methods in his training.

His whole family has become American citizens, and his son, John Jr, was born here. John has taken several of our horses to Championship level at Mundial and National levels including Rey Cometa, Valentino, and Isabella. We highly recommend him for his expertise in training and handling of the Paso Fino breed.
